CHG Favorites of the Week

Food Blog of the Week
The Paupered Chef
Aside from his Dinner Tonight entries on Serious Eats, blogger Nick Kindelsperger also maintains his own site, which centers around inexpensive home-prepared cuisine. Lots of neat experiments happen here, including slow-cooked whole chicken and the quick-flipped fat burger. Kind of like Mythbusters, but delicious (and cheap).

Food Comedy of the Week
“Little Chocolate Donuts” - SNL
The donuts of champions.

Food Quote of the Week
"Anytime a person goes into a delicatessen and orders a pastrami on white bread, somewhere a Jew dies." – Milton Berle

Food Quote of the Week #2
“Rice is great when you are hungry and you want 2,000 of something.” – Mitch Hedberg

Food Quote of the Week #3
“Everything you see I owe to spaghetti.” – Sophia Loren

Food Video of the Week
“Sledgehammer” by Peter Gabriel
Stop animation wonderment that still looks stellar 20 years later. The foodie fun starts in at around 2:16.

Totally Unrelated Extra-Special Bonus of the Week
FAIL Blog
Delightful website chronicling the hee-inducing anachronisms and foul-ups that make the everyday bearable. Funny pictures and videos abound. (By the makers of I Can Has Cheezburger.)
